WHAT DOES THIS MEAN
FOR OUR GUESTS?
Regular working hours will be from 7am to 3pm (Monday to Friday). Louder work should only occur after 8am.
Weekends are to be work free.
There will be some noisy periods. Drilling on the outer walls and cutting the openings to the elevator doors for example. Removal of the old roof and flooring.
There will also be calmer, quieter periods.
Unfortunately we can not say which dates will be exactly affected. We want to make this as transparent as possible for our future guests and we will be updating this section as soon as we get more information.
We kindly ask you to take this into consideration before making a reservation with us.
PHASE 1 - ELEVATOR & BALCONIES
EARLY SUMMER to LATE SUMMER 2015
Starting sometime in late spring, an elevator will be installed for the entire building.
At the same time, balconies will be installed in two sections in the backyard.
Even though all the work will take place outside of our spaces, due to the type of work being done, it may affect the entire building from time to time.
The elevator work will affect the CUBA apartment and the SUITE for the most part. The balcony work may affect CUBA when the new balcony for the apartment gets attached. The rooms may be affected when the inner balconies get built up.
PHASE 2 - PENTHOUSES
THROUGH ALL OF 2016 & PARTLY 2017
Starting sometime at the beginning of the year, the building out of the penthouse apartments in the building will begin. This will involve a scaffold running up the facade of the building. There will be an elevator tower for the supplies between ROOM3 and the SUITE.
The majority of the work will be up on the roof of the building, but it should not affect the floors below when major drilling and demolition work is taking place.
